Learning To DriveIntroduction
When we first meet, I will establish what level of training is needed for you based on your knowledge and ability. I want you to enjoy your lessons and with good communication I believe you will learn quicker and your understanding will be better. At the start of each lesson I will set an objective which may include introducing a new skill or improving a current skill.
Your Lessons
Over a series of lessons we will develop:
- Use of controls
- Moving off and stopping
- Turning left and right
- Crossroads
- Roundabouts
- Turn in the road
- Left and right reverse
- Dual Carriageways
- Bay Parking
- Parallel Parking
- Theory and Hazard Perception
- Independent Driving
Progress is made methodically by putting into practice what has been instructed. Initially new skills are taught through instruction and as your skill improves the responsibility of your driving changes from me to you. For some people this process is fairly rapid and for others this is more challenging but the lessons will be tailored to your learning style and ability. Either way, practice makes perfect!
